ESG Perform (“we,” “our,” “us”) values and respects the privacy of our clients and their organisations. We are committed to providing quality services to you and this Privacy Policy describes how we collect, hold, use, and maintain the quality and security of your Information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Information.

1. Collection and Use of Information

ESG Perform collects several types of Information during engagement with our ESG services. This can include:

Organisational

  • Business name, industry, and operational details
  • ESG goals, metrics, and performance data
  • Policies, procedures, and internal documentation related to ESG practices


Personal

  • Contact details of key stakeholders (e.g., names, titles, email addresses, phone numbers)
  • Information shared during workshops, interviews, or surveys


Technical

  • Analytical insights gathered through tools or platforms used to measure ESG performance
  • Data related to digital interactions with our platforms
 

This Information is obtained in many ways including:

  • Correspondence by telephone, email, or workshops
  • Through tools or platforms used to measure ESG performance
  • Third parties
 

We do not guarantee website links or policies of authorised third parties.

We collect your Information for the primary purpose of providing our ESG services to you, and may provide Information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. When we collect Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Payment Information

ESG Perform does not store or process Payment Information. All payments are securely processed by a third-party financial institution, National Bank of Australia (NAB), in compliance with relevant payment security standards.

2. Disclosure of Information

Your Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

  • Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure
  • Trusted vendors or consultants who assist in delivering our services, bound by confidentiality agreements
  • Where required or authorised by law
 

ESG Perform does not sell or rent your Information to third parties.

3. Security and Retention of Information

Your Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include:

  • Secure storage of physical and digital records
  • Access controls to limit data exposure to authorised personnel only
  • Audits and assessments of our data protection practices
 

However, no method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

When your Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Information. However, most of the Information is or will be stored in client files which may be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

4. Access to your Information

You may access the Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Information, please contact us in writing. ESG Perform will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Information.

In order to protect your Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

5. Maintaining the Quality of your Information

It is important to us that your Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws, and is available on our website. Updated policies will include the “Effective Date”.

Note we may require proof of your identity and full details of your request before we can process your enquiry. Please allow up to 14 days for ESG Perform to respond to your enquiry. It will not always be possible to resolve a complaint to everyone’s satisfaction.
