Professor Danny Samson was recently given the Distinguished Educator Award at the 2nd Australian International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.
The title of his keynote address was “ESG: the new global imperative”, in which he outlined the benefits for all stakeholders of organisations that take a proactive approach to driving their ESG performance. Professor Samson drew on his research work and consulting experience in applying his ESG evaluation approach and algorithm to supporting organisations that wish to use their ESG profile to achieve competitive advantage. He pointed out that the benefits of that approach are many and various, from risk reduction and reputational advantage to stakeholder support and operational effectiveness.
